Many people have incidents similar to this. They will think of an old friend whom they haven't spoken to in ages. They decide to call said friend. Only to find the friend was trying to contact them. Or even more bizarre, the friend was in the process of contacting them. Some people have even picked up the phone to start dialing only to discover their is no dial tone, just the friend on the other end asking "How did you pick up the phone so fast??".

I hadn't talked to my brother in a long time. I called him one day. He answered the phone and this was our conversation.

Brother - "Hello?"
Me - "Hey, how's it going?"
Brother - "Uh, Why did you call this number?"
Me - "Huh?"
Brother - "This isn't my phone number anymore. It hasn't been in over a year. I'm only here helping my friend move out. His hands were full so he asked me to answer his phone."
Me - I was speechless.

When I make the cats dream series I use a template and superimpose a new image in it's place. Just as I was making the newest one the song on my stereo played Robert Plant darkness darkness. the exact moment in the song the lyrics sang 'fill the emptiness with light' I was pasting some lightning into the black area. The final version wound up different, but the timing was eerie to say the least.

At work there was a stunning young woman I thought was amazing. One day I found out she was engaged, and was bummed about it. When I got into my car to head home, the radio played 'Worst That Could Happen' by the Brooklyn Bridge.

Today, while playing a game of poker online, I was watching Spongebob Squarepants [best show ever!] in the background. I was dealt a pair of sevens, at the exact moment Spongebob was playing 'Go Fish' and said "Have any sevens?". Absolutely perfect timing.

spiritual

A few months ago I was depressed and not happy with life. I prayed about it, that very day I was watching people download some doors songs from my computer. I messaged one to tell the user I had a few more albums of the band they might want. The way he spoke made me wonder where they were from. He said Germany. About this time the anti-iraq war protests were going on. So I asked what he thought about the war. His response was basically "I believe god will make things better soon." I recognized the answer growing up a Jehovah's Witness myself. So I asked what religion he was.

Low and behold he was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I told him how I was raised as one, and we chatted for quite sometime. The significance of this is simple. If my parents were to ask me about faith, I would've thought nothing of it. But the chances of this person across the globe I've never met responding to my prayer made me take note. Soon after that time he told me he was going on vacation. During the three months that followed, I returned to my depressed state, never doing anything with religion. Once again I prayed. That very same day I received an email from this Christian saying "Well? How's your faith?"

I was sitting at work one day and I grew more and more upset. I just knew I didn't want to be there right then. I kept working for about 20 more minutes until I finally just had to leave. My supervisor kept asking 'why' I needed to leave. I didn't have an answer for her. Just that I had to. When I walked out of the building, my chest hurt, and as soon as I made it to my vehicle, I started to cry. I didn't want to head home like that. So I drove around for 30 minutes. I kept asking myself "why?" though not knowing what "why" was about. The radio played songs about broken hearts. When I finally went home, I checked my email. Sitting there was a letter from the girl I was in love with, telling me she was in love with someone else. It finally made sense. Bizarrely the email was sent almost exactly when I began to feel upset.

On prom night I was driving around looking for a parking spot. Someone in the car asked me if I'd ever been in a hit and run. I told them 'no'. They asked what I would do if I ever did. I replied "If no one saw, I'd be out of there!"

Just two or three seconds later I hit a parked car. Needless to say, we drove away.

One time I had a really bad itch on my arm, and right as I went to itch it the person across from me went to itch the exact same spot on their arm. Our hands moved in unison. We both scratched a second, looked at each other and pretended nothing happened.

On a side note, this has happened on quite a few occasions since this.

In my high school, there is one kid that sits alone most of the time. One day I caught him picking his nose and stared at him to make sure that he wasn't just scratching. I thought it was odd that he would do that out in the open. When he stopped picking his nose, out of nowhere my nose starts to bleed. Even more bizarre is when I was remembering this incidence to submit it, my nose AGAIN started bleeding. Which is very odd, because it almost never bleeds.

I was standing with my left side to a wall (wall 1) and my back towards but not on another wall (wall 2), one of my friends had his right side to wall 2 and his back similarly towards wall 1. We were somewhat slumped due to friend 2's constant talking. at the same exact time, my friend and I turn around and reach for the lamp at the two wall's intersection. The room was well lit already so it freaked us both out!

I tried to convince my friend Trestyn that he would be a good writer, I told him to try poetry. When he declined, I told him that he should start with haikus, as anyone who is literate and can count can write a decent haiku. He immediately and unintentionally replied:

I was applying for Food Stamps at my local County Services Building. I was on the third floor filling out paper work and being interviewed. Afterwards I was told to go to the fourth floor to receive the actual card. I took the elevator. When the door opened standing in front of me was my sister! She worked in the building delivering mail. Not only is the building is rather large, but she also is usually in an office not out on rounds. So the chances of running into her are pretty low. To add to the coincidence that I've only been in this building twice in my life. As well as the fact there are three different elevators and she was waiting in front of the one I was on.

dreams

When I was 14 or so, I had an odd dream that my best friend was pregnant with twins. For some reason I was slightly embarrassed about the dream, so I didn’t mention it. A few months later we got to talking about dreams, and she brought up that a few months before she’d had a strange dream that she was pregnant with twins, but hadn’t felt like talking about it. Pretty soon we were finishing each other’s sentences. We’d had the same dream right to the detail, except that her dream took place in first person, so we had our own view's of it. Both of us could even describe the father, a cute janitor who doesn’t actually exist in real life. In the dream I told her what she should name her sons, and she remembered! (John and Clive, after John Lennon and Clive Barker) The only difference was my dream ended early, while hers continued a bit longer; but then again she sleeps later. (oddly, we were both reluctant to talk about it, even though looking back there was nothing in it to be embarrassed about)
